  • How do you deal with personal questions?
    • Develop some ground rules in advance with the group about what is acceptable for your session.
    • Remember to refer the group back to the ground rules as needed.
    • Look at some of the top tips on the site.
  • I am being asked a question about something which is not relevant to the specific subject e.g contraception during a puberty talk?
    • You could suggest that although it's an interesting question, we are not talking about that today, and draw things back to the topic.
    • You could suggest the young person talk to their family about it, and also reassure them it will be discussed in more detail at secondary school.
    • You could provide a questions box and ask them to write down other questions they have.
  • I am anxious about delivering this, where can I get help?
    • Speak to other members of staff who have delivered SRE.

  • Why does my film not play all the way through when streaming?
    • This is probably due to your internet bandwidth. Allow some time for the film to load before trying to play it. A grey progress bar will tell you when it's ready.
